Primate Tours (mountain gorilla, chimps, golden monkey tracking and all monkeys)

Uganda shelters diversity of primate species making it an exceptional primate tour destination. They include the endangered mountain gorillas, golden monkeys, chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, pottos, bush babies, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, mangabeys and many more.

Primate tours in Uganda are best carried out in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, mostly ideal for mountain gorilla trekking adventures, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for golden monkey tracking; Kyambura Gorge, Budongo Forest, Kalinzu Forest and Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee tracking, primate walks in Toro-Semuliki Wildlife Reserve.
